About Media Center: The Center houses over 2000 items in addition to the UMW reading books and Sunday school resources. Among the items available for check-out are: Christian magazines such as Response, New World Outlook and large print Guideposts; books covering Christian psychology, Christian life, prayer, devotionals, world religions, Methodism, auto-biographies and biographies, fiction, children’s literature, teen literature, large print materials, reference materials, DVD player, CD player, CD’s and videos and DVD’s for study and enjoyment of both children and adults.
A card catalog having cards listing items by title, author and subject is available to help patrons with their search for items. Most items in the Center may be checked out for a one month period.
Materials are purchased through the Media Center budget. Families and individuals may donate items or have the Media Center staff purchase items for them in honor of loved ones birthday’s and anniversaries or in memory of deceased loved ones. Congregation members who would like to join our team are always welcome.
Angie Holston (Tel: 827-3929), First Church Librarian, will be glad to answer any questions about the Center and is looking forward to helping all find materials they want to read or view.
