Mid Week Manna (MWM) Mission Alley Dillon's Certificates
Mid Week Manna (MWM) an FUMC Outreach Ministry And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God. Colossians 1:10
Our Mid Week Manna program is a Wednesday evening opportunity for spiritual and physical nourishment. The program runs from September through April in sessions of approximately 6 weeks each observing time off for the Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Spring Break holidays.
Each evening begins with a light supper served from 5:30 to 6:15pm. Your free-will donation covers the cost of the meal. Classes and other activities begin at 6:15 and conclude at 7:30pm unless otherwise noted.
Mid Week Manna Returns in September 2008
Wednesday, September 10, 2008 will be the beginning of the next session of Mid Week Manna. Watch for new adult classes to be announced in August. Look forward to: --a class that invites us to sharpen our welcome skills, leave our comfort zones and take simple steps towards others who need God's love --a Bible study class that encourages to move toward simplier life styles --a healthy lifestyle class featuring information on nutrition and exercise
Regular Mid Week Manna Activities: (All activities begin at 6:15 unless otherwise noted.) Belle Notes rehearsal (5:00); Sanctuary Choir, Finders Keepers (age 3 - 5th grade), and pHatt (middle school); Child care is also available for children age 3 and under.
Registration for Mid Week Manna Registration is encouraged for our Mid Week Manna sessions so that enough food is fixed and plenty of class supplies are available. Registration can be done by calling the church office (785 825-0228) or on-line just prior to the start of a new session.

Mission Alley First United Methodist Church's Outreach Ministry "And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased." Hebrews 13: 16
Mission Alley is located on the lower level just to the south of the church’s Circle Drive entrance. The “Alley” contains barrels and containers for donated items which are then taken by volunteers to the various social service agencies.
Regular barrels available and suggested donation items are: Food Bank – non-perishable food items; household cleaning supplies; clean plastic containers with lids; clean baby food jars with lids
Ashby House – gently used clothing, especially women’s, infants, and children’s, gently used or new household items and small appliances
Salina Rescue Mission – gently used or new men’s clothing; men’s shoes, sneakers, or boots; personal toiletry items; newly purchased, unopened over-the-counter medications
Soup Labels – Campbell’s Labels for Education are sent to United Methodist missions, labels must contain the UPC code to be usable.
Containers are also available for: Empty inkjet cartridges for recycling; Used eyeglasses and hearing aids; used cell phones
Soup Label: Campbell’s Labels for Education is another FUMC Outreach Ministry. FUMC participates in the Campbell’s Labels for Education program on behalf of two United Methodist missions, Red Bird Mission and Henderson Settlement, both located in Kentucky. Labels and other savable items may be placed in the container located in Mission Alley. The following items are honored in the Labels for Education Program:
