New Here? Getting Started

Perhaps you’re new, interested, or looking for a church home where you can learn about Christ, grow in your faith, and connect to other Christians. Where do you start?

First Time Guest FAQ

What times are your services?

We have two worship services at 8:25am and 11:00am.

Between our two worship services, we have Sunday School for all ages and Fellowship Café in our Fellowship Hall (from 9:40am to 10:40am).

Where should I park?
Parking is available on the south, and north sides of the building. You will want to enter through either the north entrance or the circle drive entrance. Handicapped entrance and elevator are located at the circle drive entry.

There are handicap parking places at either the north or south parking lots. Visitor parking places are located on the south side parking lot only.

When should I arrive?
We recommend that you arrive about 10 minutes prior to the service you want to attend. That way you will have enough time to get into the sanctuary and be seated before the service begins.

If you have young children, you may want to arrive a few minutes earlier to check them into the Nursery or Children’s Church.  The Nursery is for children ages Kindergarten and younger during both services; during Sunday School, the Nursery is for ages 0 to 2; Children’s Worship is for ages 3 through 4th grade and is only offered during the 11:00am worship service.

What should I wear?
Suits and Sunday dress are not required here (though feel free to dress up if you like). At our 8:25am Traditional service, the majority of people dress up, but there are still many who dress casual.  At our 11:00am Contemporary service, the majority of people dress casual to a business casual level during most of the year. We will welcome you just the way you are!

Is there anyone who can help me find my way around?
Feel free to check with one of the Alpha Greeters by the entrances for help or the Greeters and Ushers in the Sanctuary. We also have a ‘Welcome Center’ located at the back of the Sanctuary on the south side. There are brochures and information there about the church and activities you can sign up for and participate.

What are your services like?
We hope this is a place where you will find worship that is relevant, joyful and inspiring.  If you don’t currently have a church home, please come back and worship with us next Sunday.  If you would like more information about First Church, please take our church brochure from the friendship pads, or look under ‘About Us’ and click on ‘More Information.

How long are your services?
The Traditional service is from 8:25am to 9:30am. The Contemporary service is from 11:00am to 12:00pm.
