Love Fund
Through Love Fund, Salina First United Methodist Church reaches out directly, on a very personal basis to many persons in need. Our Love Fund is made up of above and beyond contributions only, it is not part of the Salina First operating budget. Sunday School classes, a special offering on Christmas Eve, and the many individuals who have donated to Love Fund have provided the resources needed to assist Salinans in need. Love Fund serves many people, in many ways.
During the 2018 Third quarter (July 1 – Sept. 30) we provided the following:
137 households received help with rent, utilities and gasoline vouchers totally $7,635.66.
98 children were a part of the above 137 households.
68% had not received help from Salina First UMC in the past.
235 persons received City-Go bus passes (3 day passes per month) for a total of $1,175.
